Its been a next step for all companies to know where are they going when it comes to the continuous operations of the BW system. There are few problems which majority of the companies are either facing or may face in near future if they dont address few critical areas of the system. This page is based on my experience of auditing the SAP BW systems  for my clients across the globe and helping them to understand how they can improve the system.

Lets go one by one.First lets understand what few current customers of SAP BW complain when they asked me to audit the systems:-

  1. Why are few reporting running slow?
  2. Our SAP BW Database Size is bigger than operations ECC system
  3. Are users using system properly?
  4. Our data loading time is very high how can we optimize that
  5. Have we taken all the necessary steps to optimize reporting performance
  6. Our SAP BW database is growing tremendously as compared to other source system, can you investigate why?

Lets take the approach of auditing the BW system step by step.Ideally I focus my audit in following areas
  1. SAP BW Database Audit
  2. SAP BW Modelling Audit
  3. SAP BW reporting Audit
  4. SAP BW dataload Audit
I our next blog we will focus on each one of them. I will also give you a small tree which you can follow for the Audit..

See you in my next blog of SAP BW Audit
